Some people wonder if there is any such thing as dental surgery, what kind of surgery can be performed in the mouth and so on.

One of the reasons for dental surgeries are for diseases such as Periodontitis, disease related to the gum health. If gum diseases are left untreated, they can lead to more complex dental issues.

In its early stage its is called gingivitis, causing the gum to swell, redden and bleed. When swelling, reddening and bleeding of gum is left unattended to by a dentist, it could develop into periodontitis.

The goal of periodontal treatment is to treat any infections or other problems that impair gum health.

By doing this, the tooth root is protected from harm, and the bones are also kept strong. This is significant because difficulties with the jawbone or the gums can cause the teeth to become loose and lead to a variety of other disorders.
